Hey everyone! I finally managed to snag a PS5, but my old 1080p monitor is definitely holding it back. I'm looking for a solid 4K upgrade that can actually handle what the console offers. I'm specifically looking for something with HDMI 2.1 support so I can hit that 120Hz refresh rate in games like Call of Duty or Spider-Man. Good HDR performance is also a big plus for me since I love those cinematic visuals. I’ve been looking at 27-inch and 32-inch options, but the price range varies so much that I'm getting a bit lost. For those of you already gaming in 4K on your PS5, which monitor would you recommend for the best balance of performance and picture quality?

Seconding the recommendation above! That LG is a beast for sure. > For those of you already gaming in 4K on your PS5, which monitor would you recommend for the best balance of performance and picture quality? Sooo, I saw this earlier and wanted to jump in cuz those high-end monitors are definitely expensive. If ur looking to save some cash but still want that 120Hz smooth feel, you should realy look at the Gigabyte M28U 28-inch 4K 144Hz Gaming Monitor. Honestly, it's basically the best value option out there right now. I think it usually retails for around $450-$500, which is way cheaper than the Sony M9. It handles HDMI 2.1 perfectly for the PS5, so you'll get that 4K/120Hz in Spider-Man no problem. The HDR isn't quite as punchy as the more expensive screens tho, since it lacks full-array local dimming, but the IPS panel looks great for everything else. Definitely a solid pick if ur trying to keep the budget under control !! gl with the setup.

For your situation, the LG 27GP950-B 27-inch UltraGear 4K UHD Nano IPS Gaming Monitor is basically the gold standard. I’ve gamed for years and this HDMI 2.1 setup is FLAWLESS for 120Hz CoD. If you want better HDR visuals tho, grab the Sony INZONE M9 27-inch 4K HDR 144Hz Gaming Monitor — it’s literally built for PS5 and the local dimming is amazing!! TL;DR: LG for speed, Sony for HDR.

+1 to what was said earlier. > The price range varies so much So basically, 4K/120Hz is still a premium feature which drives up the cost. WATCH OUT for cheap HDR claims though!! Most budget screens dont have the brightness to handle it, so it actually looks washed out. Honestly, just look for brands like Gigabyte or Samsung with HDMI 2.1. That 120Hz smoothness is what REALLY matters for CoD anyway, it's literally a game changer!!
