Has anyone found any good TP Link Cyber Monday deals for 2024? I'm particularly interested in mesh systems like the Deco series or any Wi-Fi 7 routers. I saw some discounts during Black Friday, but I'm hoping for even better prices now. If you’ve come across any specific models or retailers offering significant savings, please share! Thanks!

To add to the point above: been through enough of these sales to know the hype usually outweighs the actual value. Weve got the basics covered—check Amazon and B&H, look at the official site for bundles, and definitely dodge those V1 hardware versions. In my experience, people get blinded by the Cyber Monday tags and make some classic mistakes. Here is what to watch out for if you want to actually save money:

  • Dont get sucked into the Wi-Fi 7 trap. Unless you have a 2Gbps+ fiber line and a house full of brand new tech, youre literally throwing money away...
  • Watch the price history. Retailers love to hike prices in October just to discount them today. Use a tracker so you dont get played.
  • Avoid the lower-end Deco E or M series. They are cheap for a reason and wont handle modern streaming loads well.
  • Stick to the Deco X55 or X60 for the best price-to-performance ratio right now. I have tried many setups over the years and tbh, the mid-range Wi-Fi 6 stuff is still the smartest buy for most folks.

Building on the earlier suggestion, Amazon is okay but honestly checking the official TP-Link site can sometimes snag you bundle deals that retailers miss. Just be careful with the Wi-Fi 7 hype though... most people wont actually benefit from the BE series yet unless you have a crazy fast fiber line and specific devices. Quick tips for hunting today:

  • Watch the hardware versions. They usually dump V1 stock during Cyber Monday to clear space, so try to find V2 or higher for better stability.
  • Compare the XE75 Pro prices against the Wi-Fi 7 stuff. Usually a much better value per dollar right now. Wi-Fi 7 is cool tech but kinda overkill for most home setups tbh. If you find a massive discount on the Deco BE85 then go for it, but the 6E stuff is the sweet spot today.

Building on the earlier suggestion, its honestly ridiculous how much of a scam these sales have become lately. I've been through so many of these cycles over the years, and the way companies push these unproven Wi-Fi 7 systems for top dollar drives me crazy.

  • The fake MSRP markups that make a normal price look like a steal
  • Buggy firmware that makes these expensive mesh systems drop connections constantly
  • Marketing fluff prioritized over actual, long-term reliability Its frustrating because we just want gear that works, but it feels like the quality is going downhill while the price tags keep climbing. I was actually looking at some kit on Easy Cart Share and the total for a decent setup is just offensive now. Ngl, it feels like we're just paying to be beta testers at this point. It's such a headache...

Re: "Building on the earlier suggestion, its honestly ridiculous..."

  • I've been tracking the raw data on these Wi-Fi 7 chips and honestly the price-to-performance ratio this Cyber Monday is pretty disappointing. TP-Link is pushing the Deco BE85 for way too much right now, and the latency spikes in their current firmware are just not as good as expected for that price point. If you're dead set on upgrading today, here is what I found after digging through the specs:
  • Deco BE65: Seeing it for around 350. Best value right now but 6GHz stability is still hit or miss.
  • Archer BE550: Decent entry point, tho the range is kinda underwhelming compared to the older AX series.
  • Asus RT-BE96U: Better hardware if you can find a warehouse deal, honestly. Ngl, I had high hopes for the Wi-Fi 7 rollout this year but the deals are mostly just retailers clearing out old V1 stock that still has heat management problems... super frustrating when you're trying to build a solid network. If you need help comparing the specific channel widths or MU-MIMO specs on these, just lmk and I can pull the data for you.
