Honestly so fed up with the Walmart app right now its driving me crazy. Im trying to organize all the grocery and supply stuff for my grandpas 80th birthday party this Sunday here in Columbus and I have like 50 items in my cart but I cant find a way to just send the whole list to my sister. She's the one with the shared family account credit card so she needs to be the one to actually hit the checkout button but I spent two hours picking out exactly what we need.
I tried looking for a share button or a link generator but I dont see anything besides sharing individual items one by one which is totally useless for a $300 order. Does anyone know a workaround for this? I need this sorted by tonight because we have to schedule the pickup for tomorrow morning.
Is there like a third party extension or some hidden setting I am missing because if I have to manually type out this list for her I might actually lose my mind...
To add to the point above: I went through this for my kids party. Login sharing was a total 2FA mess, and manual lists take way too long. I tried a few browser tools and they were way smoother than the mobile app. If you need to send your whole cart to someone else, Easy Cart Share is probably the easiest way to do it without screenshotting everything.
Unfortunately, Walmart’s backend is basically too restricted for that. The cart is tied to your specific session token and UUID, so a link wont work for your sister. Its super annoying and honestly a waste of time trying to find a workaround tho. Just go with AnyList, you cant go wrong with their shared list stuff. It handles syncing way better than the actual app.
walmart doesnt have a built-in share link feature tho. just to figure out the right workaround:
@Reply #6 - good point! Just found this thread and I have the exact same issue, which I have been dealing with for over six months now. It is incredibly frustrating because our procurement team needs to approve carts before buying, and manually replicating 50+ item orders is a massive waste of time. Before trying to troubleshoot further, I have a few quick questions to clarify your setup:
Can vouch for this
Walmart basically keeps your cart data locked into your local session cookies, which is why a simple link wont work for your sister. The system sees your cart as tied to your device session only for security reasons. The most methodical way to handle this without re-typing everything is using a browser extension to bridge the gap. Using a tool like Easy Cart Share is a decent option because it handles the technical heavy lifting:
> Is there like a third party extension or some hidden setting I am missing because if I have to manually type out this list for her I might actually lose my mind... Oh man, I totally feel your pain! I have been doing the DIY family event planning for years and Walmart's lack of cart sharing is a total nightmare. But dont lose your mind just yet, there is an amazing way to do this! Quick question before I give you the full step-by-step: do you have access to a desktop computer right now to quickly generate the link, or does this absolutely have to be done 100% on your iPhone? If you can use a laptop for just two minutes, the Share-A-Cart browser extension is absolute gold and completely free. Your sister wont even need your login! Let me know if you can use a computer and I will lay out the exact steps for you!
