im literally losing my mind here because my old monitor is super blurry when i try to play valorant and my friends keep saying i need 240hz to actually see people properly. honestly i dont know much about specs or panels at all and looking at amazon is just confusing me more with all these weird acronyms. my budget is around 250 bucks maybe 300 tops if its worth it but i really need something by next weekend for a small local tourney. is there even a decent screen in that price range or am i just totally out of luck? sorry if this is a super dumb question but i just want to stop dying constantly...

Honestly, 240Hz makes a massive difference in Valorant but dont expect magic. I picked up the LG UltraGear 27GN750-B 240Hz IPS a while back and had issues with the backlight bleed, which was pretty annoying. If you want something solid, look for the ViewSonic XG2431 240Hz 0.5ms instead. It has better motion blur reduction tech. Just make sure you turn off vsync and use a good displayport cable.

Late to the party, but honestly, finding a good 240Hz screen under 300 bucks is super hit or miss. I unfortunately had major ghosting issues with a cheaper panel I tried last month. If you want something that actually lasts, check out the ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM 280Hz IPS. Its way more reliable than most budget options and keeps motion pretty clear for Valorant. Just be careful with calibration out of the box.

Just saw this. Honestly, stay away from the cheaper brands. Stick with BenQ ZOWIE displays for competitive play. Theyre not perfect but reliable enough for your tournament this weekend.
