Im seriously about to lose my mind with my current monitor. I bought this cheap 60hz panel a year ago thinking it would be fine but lately Ive been getting into Valorant and Overwatch 2 and the ghosting is just killing me. Every time I flick my mouse across the screen everything just turns into a blurry mess and I honestly feel like Im playing at a massive disadvantage. It feels like im fighting the hardware instead of the enemy team and my rank has been hardstuck because of it. Im so fed up with it that I threw my mouse across the desk yesterday after missing a shot I definitely should have hit.
I finally convinced my wife to let me upgrade my setup. My budget is around 400 to 500 bucks and I need something that can actually keep up with my PC. I dont care about 4k resolution or fancy colors I just want speed. I need to be able to track targets without everything turning into a smeary disaster. I live in the states so shipping isnt a huge issue. I know everyone talks about Zowie or Alienware but honestly there are so many options that my head is spinning.
Is there anything out there that is actually worth the money right now or am I gonna get burned again if I just pick a random monitor on Amazon? Im looking to buy something by next weekend because I cant take another night of dealing with this input lag and motion blur. What is actually the best monitor for competitive FPS stuff that wont break the bank but will actually make a noticeable difference in my aim...
