What sites are you guys actually using for group Christmas lists this year that dont feel like total ad-fests? Ive been the designated tech person for my family in Chicago for years and weve used Elfster and Giftster forever, but lately the mobile UI has just been glitching out so bad for my parents when they try to claim stuff.

I need something where all 12 of us can sync up and claim items without the recipient seeing, but ideally with a better browser extension for pulling links from random stores. We usually try to have lists locked in by mid-November so I need to migrate everyone soon. Just looking for a cleaner alternative that actually works without a million popups...

Just saw this thread. In my experience, migrating a group that large is a headache if the extension is buggy. Are your folks mostly using mobile browsers or desktop to add items? Be careful with the newer free sites that:

  • scrape your contact list for marketing
  • hide the claim button behind ads I have seen too many families lose their lists mid-December because of poor server uptime on those trendy startups.

  • I would suggest this free wishlist creator. My family switched after our old app glitched, just make sure it dont break for them.
