So sorry if this is a super basic question but Im totally lost here. Im trying to plan a backyard graduation party for my cousin this weekend and I have about $150 worth of snacks and soda sitting in my Walmart online cart.

My sister is actually paying for it though so I need to send the exact cart to her through email so she can check out. I look around the screen and I just dont see any share button or link generator anywhere. Is there a way to actually share a Walmart cart link through email or do I have to like screenshot everything and send it manually?

Hey, a bit late to the thread but you definitely do not need to screenshot everything! You can actually use this Chrome extension called Share-A-Cart to get this done in like two seconds. It is seriously amazing and a total lifesaver for planning parties! Basically, you just install it on your browser, go to your Walmart cart, and click the extension button. It instantly generates a unique link that you can email to your sister. When she clicks it, all those exact snacks and sodas will load right into her own Walmart cart so she can check out. It is super easy! Let me know if you run into any issues setting it up, I can walk you through it!

^ This. Also, it drives me crazy how these multi-billion dollar companies make it so hard for us to actually give them our money. Youd think with food prices going up every single week they could at least invest in some basic website features. Honestly, planning any event right now is a headache:

  • Food costs are absolutely out of control lately, especially for simple stuff like soda and snacks.
  • Retail websites are getting clunkier instead of better, forcing us to use third-party workarounds just to share a simple cart.
  • Customer experience feels like an afterthought these days because these massive corporations know we still have to shop there. Its just so frustrating when youre already stressed about party budgets and the technology works against you.

Unfortunately, Walmart doesnt have a simple share cart button built directly into the checkout screen, which is super frustrating when youre planning something like a graduation party. I ran into this exact issue last Christmas when my husband and I were splitting up the shopping duties. The safest and most reliable way to do this without sharing your account password (which is a bad idea safety-wise) is by using the Walmart Lists feature. I have been using this method for a while now and I am really satisfied with how well it works. No complaints at all. Basically, you just need to create a new list, name it something like Graduation Party, and add those items to it instead of the cart. Once the list is ready, there is a Share button at the top of the list page. You can copy the link and email it to your sister. She can open it and add everything to her cart in one go. It works really well and keeps your account secure. Let me know if you get stuck trying to set up the list, I can easily walk you through the steps if you need more help!
