Ive been working off my laptop for years now, just the machine and a mouse, but lately my neck is absolutely killing me and my workflow feels like a total mess. I just started this new remote project that requires constant jumping between windows and honestly Im losing my mind. My logic was to just grab a basic vertical stand and maybe a mechanical keyboard but there are too many options online and I dont want to waste my limited 150 dollar budget on junk. Im based in Chicago and need to get this sorted by Friday. Should I prioritize a decent monitor arm or stick to a laptop riser? Anyone actually notice a real difference with those external docks?

Honestly, grab a Rain Design mStand for the ergonomics. I had issues with cheap arms, so stick to the riser. It is cheap and effective, honestly just buy it.

Are you using an ultrawide monitor setup? I am really satisfied with the Keychron K2 V2 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard Brown Switch, it fixed my posture issues perfectly, but I need to know your layout.
