Last year was a total disaster, my sister and I both bought my mom the exact same expensive espresso machine and it was so embarrassing trying to return one without a receipt. We have a huge family gathering in London this December and I am already stressing out about it. Ive been looking at using Elfster or just a simple shared Google Sheet, but honestly I dont know which is safer for tracking. My budget is tight and I need something that wont confuse my older relatives who barely use their phones. Should I try setting up a formal registry or just stick to a messy group chat and hope for the best?

Honestly, skip the group chat, it always ends in chaos. In my experience, keeping it simple is the way to go. Btw, I use Share Product Wishlist for my secret santa groups so everyone gets exactly what they need.

  • Set up a shared link early
  • Keep the UI super basic
  • Encourage everyone to update their lists weekly It makes everything way less stressful when you're shopping for the family.
