I'm feeling so overwhelmed with Christmas coming up and I have no idea where to even start. My sister just had twins so my list of people to buy for has grown to 15 people and I keep losing the sticky notes I write names on. Sorry if this is a silly question but are there apps for this? I'm not very good with my phone so I need something simple.
Here is what I need:
Does anyone know a good one that isnt too confusing? I'm worried I'll forget someone...
Most dedicated gift apps are unfortunately quite disappointing. I had issues with Santa's Bag recently; the interface is not as good as expected for someone wanting simplicity. For a free solution, basically just use the native Notes app on your smartphone. It provides a structured checklist to track what is purchased versus what remains. Honestly, its the most effective way to stay organized without the tech headache.
Jumping in here to suggest an app called Christmas Gift List because it has been my go-to for years. It is totally free and honestly very satisfying to use once you get your names in there. The app is designed with a very clean, methodical interface that lets you track the status for every single item. You can literally toggle between to buy, bought, and wrapped, which sounds like exactly what you need for those 15 people. From a more technical perspective, it also tracks your spending automatically against a budget you set, so you wont get any surprises later. If you want a more robust alternative, a basic Google Sheets spreadsheet works well tho it takes a bit more setup. For pure simplicity, the dedicated gift apps are usually better for someone who isnt super tech savvy. I have had no complaints with this setup and it definitely beats losing paper lists.
