Im getting so hyped for my best friends wedding next month and we decided to do a big group gift instead of a bunch of random stuff. Since we are all scattered across the US, I really need a way for us to track who bought what so we dont end up with five blenders. Ive been checking out a few sites like MyRegistry and Giftster. I read on some blog that MyRegistry lets you sync everything into one place, but then I saw a ton of comments saying the syncing is super buggy and creates duplicates. Plus, some of the features seem to be hidden behind a paywall, but my budget is basically zero since I already spent a fortune on the bridal shower decor. I just want something dead simple where we can all see the same list in real time and tick stuff off as we go without paying for a subscription. Do any of these free list makers actually support real-time shared shopping lists where multiple people can update the status without it glitching out, or am I gonna have to just stick to a shared Google Sheet?
Honestly, skip the fancy registry sites if you want zero stress. My friends and I tried Giftster and it was just a headache with the syncing issues. A shared Google Sheet is honestly the goat for group gifts!
If you want to avoid the Google Sheet route, be careful with those bloated registry sites. They often prioritize ads over functionality. I personally prefer Share Product Wishlist for group gifting.
