Is there a way to actually share a Walmart shopping cart with my husband or are we stuck logging into the same account? We are trying to get our weekly groceries sorted before my work shift starts on Thursday and it is getting super annoying having to text each other screenshots of what we want to buy.
I read on some help site that you can create a shared list but that does not seem to actually move items into the cart for checkout. Then I saw a Reddit thread saying you can just share login credentials but that feels kinda risky with our saved credit card info and everything, plus we keep accidentally kicking each other out of the session which is driving me crazy. We are trying to stay under a 200 dollar budget for the week so we really need to see the total while we are both adding stuff. It just feels like such a basic feature to have a collaborative cart, or am I totally missing a button somewhere in the app? Maybe I am just blind, but I feel like I have clicked every menu option possible and I still cant find a way for him to add eggs while I am adding snacks without using the exact same password at the exact same time...

Honestly, Walmart still hasnt implemented a true shared cart feature where two accounts sync to one checkout session. It is pretty frustrating for budgeting. I went through the same annoyance with my partner last year because the app backend treats the cart as a session object tied strictly to one unique user ID. When you log in simultaneously, the server just overwrites the session state with the most recent request, which is why you keep getting booted out. Since you are trying to stick to that 200 dollar limit, your best bet is actually just using a separate tracking app to tally the total before one of you finalizes the order. My wife and I use Splitwise to keep our grocery budget transparent without needing to fight over the Walmart login session. It tracks what we both spend in real-time so we can see the total without constant screen-sharing.
