Im picking up a new iPad for my college classes next month and Im honestly stressing about keeping it safe. I spent like three hours looking at cases on Amazon, but I cant decide. Ive seen a bunch of people recommending those heavy-duty Otterbox ones, but they look so bulky in my backpack. Then I saw a few thinner magnetic ones online, but some reviewers say they slide off way too easily if you drop the thing. My budget is around 50 bucks max because I already blew most of my cash on the tablet itself. Which ones actually protect the screen without making it feel like a brick?

Honestly, skip the bricks. Over the years, I've found a solid middle ground is way better for students.

  • Spigen Tough Armor Pro is my go-to. It's got dual-layer protection but doesnt add insane bulk.
  • ESR Ascend Trifold works great if you want something slim, tho it offers less drop protection than the Spigen. Just dont skimp on a screen protector regardless of the case you choose.
