Im so stoked because I finally just bought a used iPad Air for my digital art hobby and now I need a stylus asap! I dont really have 130 bucks to drop on the official Apple Pencil Pro, so Ive been looking at some cheaper alternatives online. I keep seeing people rave about the Logitech Crayon, but then others say the generic knockoffs on Amazon are just as good for half the price. Im totally confused because I dont want to waste money on something that lags when I try to sketch. Is there actually a decent budget option that works well or should I just bite the bullet and get the official one?

Just catching up on this thread! Congrats on the iPad Air! Before you buy anything, are you planning on doing heavy line weight work, or is it mostly just for casual sketching? If you need tilt support without breaking the bank, I absolutely love the Metapen Pencil A8 for iPad for quick drafts. It feels super precise for the price. Just remember to turn off your Bluetooth if you've used an Apple Pencil before or it won't connect!

Honestly, the Logitech Crayon Digital Pencil is your best bet for reliability. Unfortunately, those cheaper Amazon knockoffs often lack pressure sensitivity, making them pretty disappointing for actual digital art.

^ This. Also, if you need precision on a budget, the Adonit Note-M Wireless Charging Stylus is solid. In my experience, it tracks perfectly for sketches without the heavy price.
