Im losing my mind here because my old stylus finally died and I need a replacement like yesterday for my digital art classes starting on Monday. I have a base model iPad from a couple years ago and honestly the confusion is real. I read a ton of reviews saying the Apple Pencil is the only way to go but then I saw a bunch of people on Reddit swearing by those knockoff versions on Amazon like the Zagg or Adonit ones. Are they actually good or are they just gonna break in a week? I really dont want to drop 100 bucks on the official one if I dont have to.
My situation is pretty specific:
Is the latency on the cheaper pens actually noticeable or is that just marketing fluff? Im so worried about buying something that lags when I try to sketch details. Should I just bite the bullet and get the official pencil or is there something else that actually holds up...
Coming back to this, I totally feel your pain with the student budget struggle. Before you pull the trigger on anything, do you happen to know which generation of base iPad you have?
