Honestly so fed up with my generic knockoff stylus right now. It keeps dropping connection in the middle of my sketching sessions and the pressure sensitivity is basically non-existent. I spent all morning in a local cafe in London trying to finish this commission for a client and I almost threw the thing across the room. I have a tight deadline by Friday and cant afford to keep fighting with this hardware. Is the Apple Pencil the only one that actually works reliably or is there something else out there under 100 bucks that wont disconnect every five minutes? Im losing my mind here...

Building on the earlier suggestion, the Adonit Note-M is a solid budget pick. It has a built-in mouse too, which is kinda quirky but handy for quick iPad edits.

TL;DR: The Apple Pencil is king, but the Logitech Crayon is a fantastic alternative for most users. I totally get your frustration! Generic styluses are just constant headaches. If you want zero lag and perfect pressure sensitivity, you really have to go with the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation Magnetic Wireless Charging. It is expensive but the precision is unmatched for professional commissions. If you want to save some cash, look at the Logitech Crayon Digital Pencil for iPad. It uses the same tech from Apple internally, so it basically never disconnects and the battery life is amazing. It lacks pressure sensitivity, which is the trade-off, but it is rock solid for sketching. Honestly, stick to these two and stop wasting time with knockoffs. You need something that just works!
