so my old tv finally gave out last week right in the middle of a god of war session... typical lol. im looking to grab a proper monitor for my ps5 instead of a tv this time since my setup is in a cramped bedroom corner. been staring at screens online for days and im totally stuck between the gigabyte m27u and the lg 27gr93u. budget is around 500 bucks max, need something by next weekend before my days off. the gigabyte has kvm which sounds cool for my work laptop, but the lg supposedly has better colors for rpgs. which one is actually better for console gaming?

Id actually be pretty careful about jumping into those specific 4K panels without checking the HDMI 2.1 specs first, especially since bandwidth limits can mess with your console output. Coming back to this after looking up my own gear history, I had a bad experience with a monitor dropping signal when switching inputs. If you want something super safe and reliable around your budget that just works out of the box, grab the Dell G2723Q 27 Inch 4K UHD Gaming Monitor. Its usually right around 400 bucks, handles the PS5 without any handshake headaches, and has a rock solid stand for tight spaces. Might not have all the crazy extras, but it wont give you a headache during your days off.

If you need something rock solid within your budget right now, skip the stress and grab the ASUS TUF Gaming VG28UQL1A 28 Inch 4K UHD Monitor. It handles console VRR brilliantly and has great port stability.

  • Full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth
  • Solid build quality
  • Great out-of-the-box colors for around $450 Really saved my setup from endless flickering issues!

In my experience with bedroom corner setups, sticking to something reliable is way more important than fancy extra features. Go with the LG 27GR93U-B UltraGear 27 Inch UHD 4K Gaming Monitor since those colors really pop for RPGs like God of War. I've tried many displays over the years and LG panels just tend to last without giving you random firmware headaches.
