What is the absolute best 1440p 240Hz monitor right now because my old reliable setup just died and I am freaking out trying to find a replacement that wont ruin my aim? Ive been a 1080p purist for like a decade playing mostly CS and Valorant but I finally caved and bought a 4080 Super so I figured it was time to move up in resolution. The thing is I keep seeing all these debates about OLED vs IPS and I am genuinely anxious about making the wrong choice since I have a local LAN tournament coming up in about three weeks. I need something with basically zero ghosting and crazy low input lag but I am worried about the burn-in on those LG panels since I usually grind for 6-8 hours at a time. I looked at the ASUS ROG stuff and some BenQ options but then I read that the matte coatings can make the image look muddy which totally defeats the purpose of going 1440p. My budget is around $800 and I am based in the US so I need something I can get delivered fast. Is the AW2723DF still a solid pick for high level play or is there something newer that I am missing? I just dont want to spend a fortune and end up with motion blur or weird flickering issues...

To add to the point above, I unfortunately found the Dell Alienware AW2723DF 27 inch 1440p 280Hz Gaming Monitor disappointing due to poor contrast. It just wasnt as good as expected for the price.

I was terrified of burn-in so I grabbed the ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQN 27 inch 1440p 360Hz IPS! It is fantastic and zero ghosting means my aim stayed totally perfect. Stick with IPS!

Tbh seeing you worry about this reminds me of my cousin who tried to go cheap on a second-hand display just to save like fifty bucks. He ended up with a massive dead pixel right where his crosshair usually sits during a big rank-up game... he actually thought it was an enemy player for half the match. It was a complete mess and he was fuming the whole time.
