My parents keep buying the wrong stuff for my kids birthdays and it is so frustrating. I need a shared wishlist app. Torn between Elfster and Giftster. Elfster looks easier but Giftster seems better for registry style. Which one is simpler for elderly parents who hate tech?

TLDR: Skip both. Unfortunately, Elfster kept crashing on my dads phone and Giftster was a mess. Are they using iPads? Try GiftList, it is free.

Honestly, go with Elfster! I had the exact same issue with my 74-year-old dad who literally panics when he has to update his iPad. We tried Giftster first but he got super confused by the interface and ended up buying duplicate lego sets anyway. Total nightmare. So we switched to Elfster last Christmas and it was a complete game changer! It is totally free and the app is so stripped down that even my dad figured it out on his first try. You just send them a direct link to the wishlist, they click "claim" on the item, and boom, it is done. They do not even need to navigate any complicated registry settings. My kids finally got exactly what they wanted and my sanity was saved! Go make a free account right now, you wont regret it.

Man I wish I found this thread sooner. Would have saved me so much hassle.
