im so frustrated trying to organize christmas for my massive family this year. honestly sorry if this is a dumb question but i have no idea how people keep track of who wants what without it becoming a total disaster. we are in the states and honestly need something free because i dont want to pay just to make a list. here is what i need:

  • has to be super simple so my grandma can use it
  • needs to actually let people mark things as bought so we dont get duplicates
  • mobile app version is a must

is there like one main app everyone uses or am i just overthinking this whole thing?

Honestly, just use Elfster. It is totally free, super easy for grandma to navigate, and prevents all those annoying duplicate gifts. Works perfectly for my family every single year.

^ This. Also, I have had decent luck with Giftster. It is pretty secure which makes me feel better about sharing addresses. Some folks prefer Giftster because it feels more like a private registry than Elfster. Both work fine for marking gifts as purchased so you avoid doubles. Just keep it simple and stick to one of those two.
