Im honestly so fed up with Elfster. I trying to get my familys holiday gift exchange sorted out for next month but the older relatives are losing their minds trying to navigate the UI, and the spam emails are just out of control. I need to dump it and find something else ASAP.
Can anyone recommend a free alternative? Here is what I need:
- Must be 100% free with no hidden fees
- Super simple interface so my 70-year-old aunt can use it without calling me
- No mandatory account creation just to view a list
If anyone has a tool they actually swear by please let me know...

In my experience:
- Giftster: Great UI but has ads.
- Wishsite: 100% free, zero spam, easiest for seniors.

Here are two solid free options that wont spam your family:
- Things To Get Me: Completely free. Relatives dont need to register to view lists or claim items, which keeps it simple.
- Google Sheets: Zero ads or spam. Just make a basic template. It is free and everyone already knows how to open a link.
