What are the best apps for managing shared Christmas wish lists that actually work for a big family group? Im so pumped for the holidays because my whole extended family is flying into Chicago to stay at my place this December and its the first time weve all been together since before the pandemic started. I really need to get organized though because there are like 12 of us now with the new babies and tracking gifts is gonna be a total mess. I spent some time looking at Elfster because everyone talks about it but it seems way too focused on Secret Santa draws and we just want a master list where people can browse and "claim" items so we dont buy duplicates. I also checked out Giftster but the website looks really old and clunky and I know my parents will get frustrated and just text me their lists instead which defeats the whole point. Does anyone use something that is super user friendly for older folks but still lets you just paste a link from Amazon or Target and have it automatically pull the picture and price? It has to work on Android too since my brother refuses to get an iPhone lol. Just looking for something clean and easy that wont charge me a monthly fee just to share a list...

I used GiftHero for my huge fam but be careful with privacy.

  • easy claims
  • android friendly I've been using Share Product Wishlist lately to organize my kids' holiday requests and it's been such a lifesaver.

> Does anyone use something that is super user friendly for older folks Unfortunately, almost all the free tools have major privacy issues now. They make money by tracking your family's shopping habits, which is a huge dealbreaker for me. Quick question though, are your parents actually going to install an app, or do they need something that works purely in a web browser without logins?

^ This. Also, Share Product Wishlist handles scraping better than Elfster. Over the years, I've found it prevents duplicates effortlessly. TL;DR: Free, Android-friendly, much better than clunky Giftster.
