Is there a way to send a Walmart cart link to friends?

Okay so I feel really stupid asking this but I am totally lost with the Walmart website. I'm trying to plan a little get-together for my friends this Saturday here in Austin since the weather is finally getting nice and I have like 25 items in my cart right now. It's mostly just stuff like chips, those big packs of soda, and some plastic plates but I also found these cool patio lights I want my roommates to see before I buy them. My budget is pretty tight so I want them to double check I'm not overspending on stuff we don't need.

The problem is I cant find a way to just send them the cart? I tried copying the link from my browser bar and texting it to my sister but she said when she opened it it just showed her own shopping cart which was empty. That makes no sense to me because it's my link! My logic was that if I send the link they see what I see but I guess that's not how it works. I'm so confused. Is there like a share button I'm missing or do I really have to go through and copy-paste every single item one by one? I really hope there's an easier way because I'm not great with this stuff and I have like zero patience for apps that make things complicated...

The URL in your browser is session-based and tied to your specific cookies, so it wont load for anyone else. Ive been very satisfied using the Lists feature on the site lately. Just move your items to a public list and you get a shareable link that actually works. It handles the item data perfectly and I have no complaints about the process. Much easier than manual links.

Omg i totally feel your pain with this! Walmarts site is a literal nightmare sometimes even though I love their prices!! I've been shopping there for years and still get tripped up. I'm not 100 percent sure if this still works but IIRC there used to be a way to move everything into a Registry or a Gift List. Basically you create one for a fake event, make it public, and then there should be a share button that generates a real link for your friends!! Here are a couple things I think might work:

  • Try the Registry feature specifically for group stuff
  • Look for a share icon at the top of a custom list
  • Maybe look into a browser extension that saves carts Not sure but I think they blocked direct cart sharing for security reasons or something. Its super annoying tho!! Good luck with the Austin party, those patio lights are gonna look amazing!!
