Is there actually a way to export a bunch of different Walmart product pages into one list or document for sharing? I am trying to put together a massive gift guide for my extended family reunion in Chicago next month and honestly I am losing my mind trying to copy-paste links one by one.
My budget is pretty tight since I am buying for like 15 people so I have been comparing a bunch of stuff. Currently I am torn between just using a standard Google Sheet where I manually log everything or maybe trying one of those browser extensions like Save to Pocket or even just using a Notion board, but I really dont know which is best for my situation. I need something that actually shows the current price because Walmart prices change so fast and I dont want to look like an idiot if the numbers are totally off when I send this out.
I really dont have time to learn some complex coding thing or pay for a monthly subscription to some enterprise-level scraper, I just need a quick way to bulk grab the info for maybe 30 or 40 items. I am based in the US so all these items are available but its just the logistics of the list that is killing me. If I use one of these web clipper tools does it actually pull the price data or is it just the link? Like, if I use a tool like Zotero or just a basic site scraper, is that gonna save me time or am I just adding more work? I feel like there has to be a simpler way than this manual nightmare I have going on right now...
Honestly, scrapers are a headache. Stick to a shared Google Sheet and use the =IMPORTXML function for live pricing. It is a bit fiddly but saves so much manual updating.
Adding my two cents here. Using web clippers like Save to Pocket or Zotero usually just grabs the URL and a screenshot, so they wont update prices for you. If you want something more reliable without coding, consider these steps:
