so im totally new to this whole online shopping thing and honestly i feel kinda silly even asking but how do you actually save money at walmart online? like, i keep hearing people talk about deals but when i look at the site it just looks like regular prices to me. im moving into my first apartment in chicago next month and with my limited budget of maybe 200 bucks for basic kitchen stuff and cleaning supplies i really need to make every dollar count.

my logic was that if i go to the store i end up buying random stuff i dont need, so ordering online would stop that but i dont want to pay extra for shipping or miss out on hidden discounts. i saw a tab for rollback but is that just marketing or are those actually good deals? also, is it worth getting that membership thing they keep pushing? i dont really order stuff constantly, maybe just once or twice a month, so i dont know if the fee pays for itself.

ive been clicking around the site for an hour and i feel so lost. are there specific days to check for price drops? or is there some magic search trick to find the clearance items? i feel like everyone else has a secret manual for this and im just clicking blindly. sorry if this is a dumb question but i really want to get as much as possible for my new place without going over my budget. do you guys actually use coupons or do you just wait for those rollback things to happen? im honestly just so excited to get my own place set up but the money part is stressing me out a bit...

Moving into your first place is wild, congrats! Honestly, don't sweat the online shopping thing, it gets easier. Rollbacks are usually legit, but sometimes they just bump the price up before marking it down, so be careful. I actually use PriceDropCatch whenever I'm unsure if a price is actually a deal or just marketing fluff. It saves me from buying stuff I think is cheap but isnt.

  • Stick to the clearance section in the home tab for the best prices on kitchen basics.
  • Avoid the membership unless you hit that monthly order limit regularly.
  • Always filter by price low to high to keep yourself grounded. Just watch out for third-party sellers on the site since shipping can be tricky there. Stick to items sold directly by them so you dont get hit with weird extra costs. Good luck with the move!
