Is there a reliable way to get price drop alerts for Walmart items directly on my desktop without getting scammed by shady browser extensions? Im trying to furnish my new apartment in Chicago and my budget is super tight right now, so saving even ten or twenty bucks on furniture adds up fast. I was looking at using CamelCamelCamel but obviously that is just for Amazon, so now Im torn between Honey and a desktop tool called PriceBlink, or maybe just setting up something through BrickSeek if that even works for online prices?
I really need to lock in some items before the end of the month when my lease officially starts. Honey seems popular but I hate how it always tries to run coupons that never work and it feels kinda bloatware-y on my browser. PriceBlink looks a bit dated but might be more direct? Im not super tech savvy so something that just emails me or pops up a notification when the price dips would be perfect. Has anyone actually had luck with these or am I just wasting my time hunting for deals that rarely happen anyway...

Congrats on the new Chicago place! Moving is honestly the worst for the bank account. I totally get the hate for Honey, it slows my browser down so much I barely use it anymore. I actually think you should check out PriceTracker because it is way cleaner and less spammy than those browser extensions you mentioned. Here is what I would do:
- Skip the extensions if you want to save memory.
- Use a dedicated tracking site that sends you email alerts instead.
- BrickSeek is great for in-store inventory, but it is super finicky for online price drops. IIRC there are a couple of other web tools that just monitor the URL for you, but I have had the best luck just keeping a list and checking manually since the extensions are basically bloatware. You got this!
