Is there actually a way to check price history for things at Walmart? Sorry if this is a super dumb question but Im really struggling here and feel like Im gonna lose my mind if I overpay again. I literally have no idea how people figure out if a deal is actually a deal or if the price is just jacked up before a sale.

I bought this big air fryer last month for my new apartment because I finally moved out of my parents place and am on a super tight budget, but then like two weeks later I saw it was way cheaper. It made me feel so sick thinking I wasted like 40 bucks I really needed for groceries. Now I feel like I cant trust any of those rollback tags they have everywhere.

I tried searching online but I keep finding stuff for Amazon and I dont know if those tools work for Walmart too? Like, is there a website where I can just paste the link and see if it was cheaper last week? I feel like such a newbie asking this but I really dont want to get burned again.

Im just trying to be careful with my money since my budget for kitchen stuff is basically zero right now. I have a few more things I need to get before the end of the month and I just dont want to make the same mistake twice. Is there some kind of browser extension or tracker thing I should be using? Or do I just have to sit there and watch the website every single day until it drops? Honestly just any advice on how to stop being so clueless about this would be a life saver because im starting to get really anxious every time I click checkout...

Oh man, I totally feel your pain! That air fryer situation is the worst, but seriously, don't beat yourself up. You're definitely not a newbie for asking this because Walmart makes it super tricky compared to Amazon. The thing is, Walmart's pricing algorithm is wild and changes constantly based on regional inventory and local competition, which is why those dedicated price history tools don't always track it perfectly. Personally, I use BrickSeek for this kind of stuff and it is absolutely amazing! It's fantastic because it doesn't just show you current prices, but it actually digs into the inventory data so you can see if a price is about to drop at a store near you. It basically gives you the inside scoop on markdowns that aren't even advertised on the main site yet. You just take the SKU or UPC from the product page and plug it in. I love how much data it shows, it feels like having a secret weapon when you're shopping on a budget. There is also a browser extension called Honey that sometimes keeps a little history graph, but honestly, for Walmart specifically, digging into the inventory trackers is way more reliable. You're doing the right thing by checking first! Keep at it, and you're gonna save so much cash once you get the hang of watching the patterns.
