Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am totally lost here. I am trying to save some money on groceries and household stuff for my apartment in Chicago, but keeping up with all these Walmart rollbacks is driving me crazy. Is there actually an app that tracks them? I dont really want to pay for a subscription since my budget is super tight right now, just looking for something free to alert me when prices drop on stuff like laundry detergent or canned goods.

  • Needs to be free
  • Preferably for iOS
  • Just basic alerts

Am I supposed to be using the main Walmart app for this or is there a better third party one?

Honestly, tracking those rollbacks manually is a total nightmare. I used to try and keep up with it myself but eventually gave up. I am not 100% sure if there is a dedicated app just for that since Walmart keeps their data pretty locked down, but I have found a few workarounds that work well enough for me.

  • Use the Keepa or CamelCamelCamel alerts for Amazon if you just want general price tracking, as they sometimes match.
  • Set up a custom search on Flipp because it aggregates local store circulars.
  • The main Walmart app is kinda hit or miss but I use the list feature to check my saved items weekly. I think there might be some third-party trackers out there, but Irc they usually just scrape the site and get blocked by Walmart pretty fast. Sticking to the official app notifications is probably your safest bet for now.
