Hey everyone! Looking ahead to LG OLED TV Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales in 2025. Specifically interested in the C-series. Anyone have any insights or predictions based on past years? Budget is around $2000. Any tips on where to watch for deals?

Just caught this thread and tbh I have to disagree with the focus being purely on the timing of the sale. Having spent years calibrating these panels and measuring EOTF tracking accuracy, the hardware delta between model years is way more significant than a $100-200 price swing. Everyone is talking about spreadsheets and Super Bowl windows, but from a technical standpoint, the real value depends on the panel stack itself---like whether they migrate the Micro Lens Array (MLA) tech down to the C-series in 2025 or keep it gated to the G-series to manage thermal headroom. Before you get too hung up on the Black Friday hunt, I have a couple clarifying questions to see if the C-series even makes sense for your setup: What's the actual ambient light situation in your viewing environment (are we talking total light control or a bright living room?), and are you prioritizing high-bitrate 4K physical media or are you mostly gaming with VRR/ALLM requirements???

Saw this thread earlier and wanted to jump in since I have been through the LG upgrade cycle way too many times lol. Back when I was hunting for my LG C2 77-inch OLED, I realized that the best deals actually happened at local warehouse clubs because they often include an extended 5-year warranty which is huge for peace of mind. Honestly, my biggest tip from experience is checking out warehouse clear-outs. Last year I snagged a LG C3 65-inch OLED for way under my $2000 budget because it was an open-box floor model. It only had like 200 hours on it and looks perfect. By the time Black Friday 2025 rolls around, the LG C4 65-inch OLED is gonna be the absolute sweet spot for value. Dont just stick to the online ads - actually go into the stores and talk to the guys in the home theater section. Sometimes they have manager specials on units that arent even listed on the site yet. Hope that helps you stay under that $2k limit!

TL;DR: Don't wait for the actual holiday weekend; the best prices usually leak or go live on price-negotiation sites about a week early. Join a few deal-hunting communities now to watch their spreadsheets. I went through this whole process last year when I was hunting for my current setup. Honestly, I found that the 'official' big sale day is kind of a trap. I spent weeks lurking on community forums and checking shared spreadsheets where people track every price drop across different regions. What I learned is that the one I got actually hit its lowest price on a random Tuesday about ten days before the big weekend. Like, I used one of those sites where you can put in a bid to authorized dealers, and it saved me a ton compared to the big-box store price. It’s pretty stressful if you just watch the mainstream ads, so I’d say look for those community-driven trackers instead. Not 100% sure how 2025 will play out, but that seems to be the pattern lately—the community usually knows the real deals way before they’re 'official' anyway.

Honestly, I wouldn't bank on massive drops. I bought my LG C1 in late 2021 for around $1800. Over the years, the deals haven't been *that* much better. Just keep an eye out!

Hey! Instead of focusing solely on the C-series, might want to consider the B-series OLED too. Processing isn't *quite* as advanced, but it can often hit lower prices. Make sure to check response times; some older OLEDs can exhibit burn-in with static automotive displays. I'd suggest professional calibration for optimal picture – especially if using it for critical vehicle data monitoring.

Hey! In my experience, waiting 'til after the Super Bowl can snag you similar deals on LG OLEDs. Folks are often TV'd out! I've tried many times, and prices usually drop then. Worth keeping an eye on, might save you some cash. Just a thought for stretching that $2000 budget further!

Skip LG. Unfortunately, I had issues with burn-in on my C2. Sony's A80L series might be a better bet; they're usually around $2200 post-Black Friday. Do your research!

Hey! TVs are awesome, but heads-up! Glare can be a real driving hazard. Before you mount that LG, think about reflections! Especially at night, it could be distracting. Maybe darker tinting on your windows is a good call? Just a thought for safety's sake! Enjoy the new screen!

For mounting yourself, consider the Sanus VMPL50A-B1. Be careful with wall studs!

I've had my LG OLED (CX series) for 4 years now – still amazing! Black levels are incredible. Expect similar deals next year, maybe under $1800 for the C-series.
