Any predictions for 2025 OLED TV Black Friday deals? Hoping to snag a 65-inch. What price range are we realistically looking at?

Just jumping in with a bit of market analysis. Based on current manufacturing roadmaps and panel yield improvements, 2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for 65 inch price cuts. Honestly, the competition between WOLED and QD-OLED is the main thing driving these predictions.

  • LG vs Samsung: LG has the scale with their WOLED production, but Samsung is being super aggressive with their QD-OLED yields. For a 65 inch LG C5 OLED TV, I suspect we will see the Black Friday floor hit around 1499 or 1599.
  • The MLA Factor: Since Micro Lens Array tech is becoming more standard, the premium for high nit performance is dropping. If you are eyeing the LG G5 OLED TV, it might still stay above 2200 due to that specialized heatsink and premium gallery design.
  • Sony Pricing: The Sony A95N will likely remain the outlier. Sony usually prioritizes their processing algorithms and color accuracy over raw volume, so expect a heavy Sony tax even during Cyber Monday.
  • Budget Entry: I wouldnt be surprised if entry-level 65 inch sets dip toward 1100. It basically comes down to how much stock they need to move before the 2026 refreshes hit the floor...

Honestly, it’s hard to say exactly what 2025 looks like this early. I remember picking up an OLED a couple years back during the BF rush and I was sooo worried about the 'panel lottery' and whether the thing would even survive the delivery truck during the holiday chaos. IIRC, the price floor for 65s usually hits a certain point but I mean... with manufacturing costs shifting, who knows if that holds. I think the real thing to watch isnt just the price tag but the shipping reliability. I’ve seen way too many horror stories of cracked panels arriving in November because the couriers are basically overwhelmed. Tbh, I always look for a retailer with a solid return policy over the absolute lowest price because if you get a unit with bad uniformity or dead pixels, you dont want to be stuck in customer service hell. In my experience, the peace of mind is worth the extra few bucks. Just my two cents from being in the hobby for a while now, you gotta factor in the longevity and the risk of a bad panel.
