Is there actually a case for the iPad that wont break the bank but still keeps the thing from shattering if I drop it? Im sorry if this is a super dumb question but I just bought my first iPad ever and honestly Im terrified of it.

I feel like I have no idea where to start because there are a million options on Amazon and half of them have these weird names I cant even pronounce. I live in a tiny apartment in Chicago and my floors are basically concrete so if this thing hits the ground I know its game over. I dont have a huge budget maybe like 50 bucks or so? I really just need something that covers the screen and the corners because I have a habit of knocking stuff off my coffee table when Im trying to multitask.

Does anyone have one they actually like using? I keep seeing those ones that fold into a stand but I cant tell if those are flimsy or if they actually protect anything. Im leaving for a trip in two weeks and I just really need to get something sorted before then because I dont want to be worried about it in my bag the whole time...

Congrats on the new iPad! Honestly, with concrete floors, you really need to be careful. Cheap folio covers wont save you, so definitely look for something with reinforced corners. I would suggest these two as they have actual impact protection:

  • Spigen Tough Armor Pro Heavy Duty Case
  • OtterBox Defender Series Rugged Case Make sure to grab a tempered glass screen protector too, just to be safe. You really dont want to risk a crack on those floors!
