So I just started my first year of college in Boston and realized my laptop is way too heavy to carry around all day. I have an iPad Air and I want to use it for notes and writing papers but typing on the glass is driving me crazy. Im totally new to this so sorry if this is a dumb question but do I just get the official Apple one or are there cheaper options that actually work? I have maybe 100 bucks to spend and I need something that fits in a small bag. My logic was maybe a folding one but I have no idea if those are junk... does anyone have a favorite?
Skip the pricey Apple gear. Grab the Logitech Slim Folio for iPad Air, it is super slim, durable, and saves you cash for other college stuff.
@Reply #1 - good point! honestly dont waste your money on the official stuff when you're just trying to get through classes. i was so nervous about breaking my gear when i started out, so i went with the Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 Ultra-Slim Keyboard instead. it is absolutely amazing! it fits perfectly in my tiny bag and feels way more secure than those weird folding ones that seem like they might break in a week. tbh i was scared of cheap knockoffs failing during a final, so sticking to a reliable brand was a total game changer for me. just make sure you keep a small microfiber cloth handy for the keys and you'll be set. hope this helps you out!
