Ive been building SFF rigs for years but my old SFX unit just died and im kinda panicked since i need this machine for work by monday. Space is super tight in my Velka 3 and cable management is a nightmare. What 600W+ modular PSU actually fits well without blowing my 150 dollar budget?

Honestly, the Velka 3 is such a pain to build in. Since you are in a rush, you have to be careful with unit dimensions. I have used a few options in my own SFF builds and here is what I would suggest keeping in mind for your budget.

  • Corsair SF750 750W SFX Platinum is the gold standard. It is a bit over your budget, but the braided cables are way easier to manage than the stiff ones you get with other brands.
  • SilverStone Technology SX650-G 650W SFX Gold is a decent mid-range option. It fits the budget better, though the included cables are a bit rigid, so good luck with that cable management. Personally, I would try to stretch the budget for the Corsair if you can, just for the ease of routing cables in such a small space.
