Hey everyone! So, I'm already starting to think about Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for 2025, specifically for a new 1440p gaming monitor. I'm hoping to snag a really good one on sale.

I'm currently running a 1080p monitor and my RTX 3070 is definitely capable of pushing more pixels. I'm mainly playing FPS games like Apex Legends and some single-player RPGs, so response time and color accuracy are both pretty important to me. I've also heard some buzz about newer panels coming out next year, so maybe waiting is a good idea?

Has anyone started keeping an eye on potential deals or have any predictions for what brands might have some killer discounts next year? Also, any advice on whether it's worth waiting for new panel tech to drop before pulling the trigger? Thanks for any insights!

Ngl, jumping from 1080p to 1440p on a 3070 is the absolute sweet spot for performance right now. I've been tracking market trends for years, and honestly, by late next year, we're going to see a massive price war between OLED and high-end Mini-LED. If you're playing Apex but want those RPGs to look insane, you should definitely keep an eye on the LG UltraGear 27GR95QE or its 2025 successor. LG’s panels are usually pretty solid, but Dell often wins on the warranty side with their Alienware line—specifically the Alienware AW2725DF. Their burn-in coverage is basically the gold standard imo. Samsung is another one to watch; the Samsung Odyssey G6 OLED usually gets some pretty deep cuts during major sale events, though their QC is sometimes a bit of a toss-up compared to LG. If OLED still feels too expensive, the ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACS is a killer IPS option that’s been getting a lot of love for its price-to-performance ratio. Anyway, if you can swing an OLED, it'll ruin other screens for you. Just make sure the brand has a good burn-in policy before pulling the trigger. What’s your actual budget for this?

Totally agree with exowwzjuqg, 1440p is definitely the sweet spot for a 3070 and you're gonna love the jump from 1080p. About the different brands though, honestly you should just search YouTube for 1440p monitor brand comparisons 2025. I saw a really detailed video about this not too long ago that compared the reliability and QC of stuff like Dell, LG, and MSI. It was like the first result when I searched for it. Basically every big tech channel does a deep dive on which brands are actually worth the money versus which ones just have good marketing. Just check there or maybe look through the r/monitors subreddit. They usually have a massive buying guide that breaks down every brand by price point, so it's way easier than trying to track it all yourself.

Hey! So, everyone's talking about deals and panels, which is cool, but have you considered *calibrating* your new monitor yourself? A lot of people just unbox 'em and go, but honestly, getting the colors right yourself can make a HUGE difference, even on a 'cheap' panel.

I'd suggest looking into display calibration tools. There are some decent free software options out there, though a colorimeter (like a SpyderX or i1Display) will give you way more accurate results. They're an investment, but you can use them on ALL your displays! I calibrate my TV and even my laptop screen. It's kinda fun, tbh.

Alternatively, you can pay a professional to calibrate it, but where's the fun in that? Plus, you'll be paying every time you want to tweak it! Just make sure you do some research beforehand; calibration can get pretty technical, and you could mess things up if you're not careful. Hope this helps!

Hey! Thinking about Black Friday already, eh? I totally get that! I've been burned before by not planning ahead.

Honestly, instead of focusing *too* much on specific brands right now, I'd suggest setting a budget and sticking to it. 1440p monitors can vary wildly in price. Don't get caught up in the hype and overspend on features you might not even notice!

I think focusing on the panel tech is smart. Unfortunately, waiting for "the next big thing" often means paying a premium. Maybe aim for a well-reviewed model from *this* year's lineup that's likely to be heavily discounted. I had issues with a super-hyped VA panel a few years ago; the black smearing was terrible in Apex. A good IPS panel is often a safer bet for color accuracy AND response time, and they tend to drop in price faster.

From what I know, keep an eye on Rtings.com and Hardware Unboxed closer to November 2025, they usually have great buying guides. Good luck scoring a deal!

Hey! Instead of just chasing the lowest price next Black Friday, double-check the seller's reputation and return policies, okay? I had issues with a "too good to be true" deal last year – monitor arrived damaged, and the return was a NIGHTMARE. Also, read reviews carefully – sometimes those crazy deals are for models that are being cleared out for a reason! Better to spend a little more on something from a reputable seller (Amazon, Best Buy directly) for peace of mind, IMO.
