Best laptop for graphic design under $1500?

Im losing my mind trying to pick a new laptop for my freelance graphic design work. My current setup is literally dying on me and I have a huge project due in three weeks so I need to get something reliable asap. My budget is pretty firm at 1500 bucks since I dont have much wiggle room right now.

I keep looking at the MacBook Air M3 because everyone online says it is the gold standard for design, but then I read a bunch of threads saying 8GB of RAM is basically useless for Adobe Suite and that the base storage is a joke. Then I see people recommending various Windows laptops like the Dell XPS or ASUS Zenbook, but the display reviews for those are all over the place and I really need color accuracy for my print work. Some people say the screen on the ASUS is great but the build quality feels like plastic garbage, and I just cant figure out what the hell to actually trust.

Does anyone actually have a recommendation that wont crash while running Illustrator and Photoshop at the same time without blowing my budget? Is it better to just grab a refurb Pro model or just hope the Air is enough for what I do?

If you wanna save some cash but still get killer performance, have you looked into the ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 OLED UX6404? The screen on this thing is honestly fantastic for print accuracy because of that OLED panel. Just curious, are you strictly needing a macOS environment, or are you open to Windows if the display quality is top-tier?
