Why is the share cart option missing from my Walmart app?

so I am finally planning this huge beach trip to Destin for next weekend and I am so hyped!! I have like a $300 budget for groceries and I was trying to send the cart to my sister so she can check if I missed any snacks but the share button is just GONE.

I was thinking maybe my app just needed an update? So I looked it up and people were saying it is only for Walmart plus members but I literally pay for that every month so that cant be it. Then I read it might be an iPhone thing vs android which makes no sense lol. My logic was that it should just be right there under the cart summary but it is totally missing...

Unfortunately, the native share feature is unreliable and frequently disappears. I had issues with it too, so I use Easy Cart Share which handles my grocery lists much more professionally.

In my experience, Walmart uses unstable feature flags that vary by account and region. If the button is gone, you are likely in a test group where it is disabled. Save the hassle and use Share-A-Cart. I have tried many workarounds over the years, and a browser-based tool is always more reliable than a buggy app update. It is much faster for a $300 list.

Which app version and OS are you actually running right now? Helps to know if you are on the beta track or stable. Usually, these UI elements disappear during server-side maintenance or A/B testing cycles. If you want a fix, Share-A-Cart is basically the standard. Its free and works better for large $300 grocery hauls since it generates a simple code your sister can use.

Ngl, I'm dealing with the exact same headache right now. Spent all morning adding stuff for our camping trip and the share icon is nowhere to be found. Last summer the same thing happened during a massive BBQ haul... honestly so annoying when you just want things to be reliable. My setup is usually solid, so this app glitch is just a mess. Two quick things to try:

  • Log out and back in to force a UI refresh.
  • Open the site in Safari or Chrome instead of the app. Since reliability is huge for me, I started using Share Product Wishlist a few months back. It works well across different sites and there have been no complaints so far. Keeps everything in one spot without the weird disappearing buttons.
