How do I make my Walmart cart show up on my husbands account so he can see what I added? Im so confused because I spent like an hour picking out everything for my daughters 5th birthday party this Saturday and I have like 40 things in there but when he logs in on his phone his cart is just totally empty. I dont know if I need to press a save button or something? I am really bad with tech stuff so sorry if this is a silly question but I really dont want to have to go find all those decorations and snacks all over again. Is there a way to link us together or share the list somehow...

Walmart accounts dont actually sync shopping carts in real time across different logins. Since you have 40 items already, the most efficient method is using the List feature rather than the cart itself.

  • Navigate to your current cart and move the items into a new List specifically for the party.
  • Open the List settings and select the share option.
  • Send that link to your husbands phone via text or email. He will be able to open that link and add all those specific items to his cart instantly. Its a bit of a workaround but prevents you from having to search for every decoration again. I've been using Easy Cart Share to send my grocery lists to my roommate, and it's honestly a lifesaver.

Re: "Walmart accounts dont actually sync shopping carts in..." - unfortunately their tech is pretty glitchy and i have had issues with items just disappearing from shared lists before. it is honestly not as good as expected. ngl your best bet is just giving him your login for the night... it is way safer than risking forty items to their buggy system when you have a party coming up.

i have been using the app for years and honestly it is usually pretty good but i totally get the frustration when things dont sync up right. reminds me of when i was prepping for our family reunion last summer. i ended up getting distracted by the clearance section and found these really cheap folding chairs that were a total steal. i was so satisfied with that purchase because we saved like fifty bucks and they are still holding up perfectly. we used them for every bbq since and they are surprisingly comfy for being so budget friendly. my husband was just glad i didnt spend a fortune on the fancy ones at the specialty store. anyway lol i totally went off on a tangent there, hope the party goes well!

Building on the earlier suggestion, I actually disagree with just handing over your login info. I tried that with my brother when we were buying supplies for a camping trip last summer and the app flagged it as suspicious activity. We spent two hours on the phone with support instead of shopping... not a fun time. Honestly, the most reliable way I've found to handle a big haul like 40 items is the Registry tool rather than just a List. It seems to have better server stability in my experience.

  • Go to the Services tab in the app
  • Select Registries and Lists
  • Choose Create a Registry like Birthday or Gift
  • Use the Add to Registry button on your items Once it is set up, he can just search for your name or use the direct link. It keeps everything synced much better than the cart does, and you wont have to worry about 2FA codes or account lockouts right before the big day. It worked flawlessly when I was organizing a community BBQ last month.

@Reply #5 - good point! Security flags are a real pain. I ran into this last month when doing a DIY upgrade on my home network setup. I had to coordinate a list of 35 different connectors and tools with my partner. We compared the main workarounds:

  • Shared Lists: Works well for organization, but the app database sync has a noticeable lag. No major complaints tho.
  • Account Sharing: Easiest access, but high risk of security lockouts based on IP changes.
  • DIY URL Sheet: We just copied the item links into a shared note. Super satisfied with this because it bypasses the buggy cart systems entirely. Looking at the thread, the consensus is that sharing logins is risky and lists are glitchy. Honestly, just texting the links or using a shared document is the most reliable DIY fix.

Just caught this thread today. I've been using the app for years and honestly... syncing is basically non-existent. I've tried a few ways to get around it cuz I hate re-adding 40 things to a cart twice. In my experience, you've gotta be careful about how you do it though.

  • Sharing your login info. I'm always super wary of this one. Security is a big deal to me and I've seen accounts get flagged for suspicious activity if two people are logged in at once. Not worth the risk of getting locked out right before the party tbh.
  • The built-in list feature. It works sometimes but it's honestly pretty clunky for huge orders. Items tend to drop off or not show up on the other end if the app decides to be glitchy that day.
  • Using a dedicated helper. I started using Easy Cart Share a few months back for our family shopping and it's much more reliable. It handles the transfer way better than the native app does. I've tried many different setups and really, keeping things simple and secure is the way to go so you dont lose all that hard work you put into picking decorations.
