Which portable laptop stand is best for frequent travelers?

I am literally flying to London in two weeks for a massive project and my back is already killing me just thinking about hunched over my laptop in random cafes. I need a stand that actually fits in a carry-on without weighing me down. So I was thinking about the Roost V3 because everyone says it is the gold standard but honestly $90 for some plastic feels insane? Like my logic was that it would be the most stable but then I saw the Nexstand K2 which looks identical but half the price and now I am just worried it will collapse and break my 16 inch MacBook Pro. Then there is that Moft adhesive one that sticks to the bottom. I read that it is super portable but some people say it doesnt actually get the screen high enough to save your neck and it blocks the fans. I am just really stressed about the ergonomics because I will be working 10 hour days from hotel desks and tiny coffee shop tables. My budget is more like $40-50 max because I already spent a fortune on the flight. Has anyone actually used these for long-term travel or are they all just hype for people who work at home...

Quick reply while I'm at the airport... Using a metal frame has been better than plastic for me. Im very satisfied with the iVoler Aluminum Foldable Laptop Stand 6 Levels because it handles my heavy 16-inch setup without wobble.

  • Supports up to 44lbs with sandblasted aluminum.
  • Weighs just 260g and folds flat.
  • 6 adjustable angles for ergonomics. Honestly, for $20, its a steal and stays sturdy for 10-hour days.

  • Roost V3 Laptop Stand: Pro stability, amazing pivot joints!
  • Nexstand K2 Laptop Stand: Fantastic value, reinforced nylon handles 16 inch Macs! Avoid MOFT Adhesive Laptop Stand, its way too low!

Ive tried a ton of these setups over the years. To give a real answer, I just need to know:

  • Using a separate keyboard?
  • How tall are you? It makes a massive difference, ngl.
