What is the fastest way to share an Amazon cart with someone?

Seriously how is this still so hard in 2024? I am trying to coordinate this 30th anniversary surprise party for my parents and I have like 45 items in my cart right now—decorations, streamers, those weird photo booth props, even some catering supplies. I need my sister to see the whole thing and approve the budget because we are splitting the $500 cost down the middle but she is in Chicago and I am over here in Seattle. I am losing my mind trying to figure out how to just send the contents to her.

So I was thinking okay just send her my login but then I remembered my credit card is saved and honestly she is a bit of a spender haha so that is a hard no. My logic was maybe there is a simple share button like on a YouTube video or something? Nope. Nothing. I did some digging online and saw people mentioning this Share-A-Cart browser extension for Chrome but I am usually shopping on my phone while I am on the bus or at work and I am also kinda wary of giving a random third-party plugin access to my whole shopping history anyway. It feels a bit sketchy right?

Then I read that I should use the Wish List feature but man that is so tedious. I have to go into every single item and click add to list then go back and delete it from my cart then send the list link then she has to go through and add them all back to her own cart? It feels like I am doing busy work for a computer. It is super frustrating because we need to get this stuff ordered by Friday so it arrives in time for the party next weekend. I also looked into the Amazon Household thing but we dont live together and I dont want to mess with my Prime settings or link our bank accounts just for one party order. Is there a hidden link or a trick I am missing? I just want her to click something, see the list, and tell me if she thinks the gold balloons look tacky or not. If I have to copy and paste 45 individual product links into a text message I think I might actually scream...

TL;DR: Use Share-A-Cart. In my experience, Amazon is super behind on cart data portability. I think it works by bundling your session item IDs into a temporary manifest link. Not 100% sure about the mobile security layer tho, but I've tried many workarounds over the years and this beats manual entry. Copying 45 links into a text is basically a logic nightmare, honestly. The metadata transfer is usually clean.

@Reply #2 - good point! Extensions werent as good as expected and glitched my cart, felt risky. I've been using Easy Cart Share for grocery lists with my roommate, and it's honestly a lifesaver.

@Reply #1 - good point! Extensions are basically the only real shortcut right now, but honestly, I have found the mobile experience to be pretty disappointing. It is seriously frustrating that Amazon hasn't built a native solution for this yet. I have had similar issues when planning group events on a budget. Unfortunately, the mobile app is a bit of a walled garden. Since you are on your phone, one methodical workaround I use is to log into Amazon via Safari or Chrome instead of the app. From there, you can use the Print to PDF function on your phone. It generates a single document with all your cart items, thumbnails, and prices. It is not as interactive as a live link, but it is way better than sending 45 individual texts, and it solves your security concerns about sharing logins. Technically, Amazon links your cart to your specific session ID, which is why simple links fail. If you really need her to be able to add them to her own cart instantly, Share-A-Cart is basically the industry standard tool for this, though the mobile setup takes a minute. TL;DR: Use your mobile browser to save the cart as a PDF and send that. It is the fastest way to get budget approval without the security risks of third-party plugins or sharing passwords.
