im freaking out because my brother is literally pulling into the walmart parking lot right now and i have like twenty things he needs to pick up for my daughters birthday party tomorrow. i have no idea how to actually give him the list. i made it on the walmart app on my phone but i cant find a button to just text it to him and im so confused.

i really dont want to have to type the whole thing out again in a text message because itll take forever and hes already there. sorry if this is super basic i just dont use the app. what is the easiest way to send a list to someone?

Hey, its okay, just use the built-in share function. Look for the three dots or the share icon at the top right of your specific list screen.

  • Tap the share icon
  • Select Copy Link or Message This works fine on the current app architecture and prevents manual input errors. Youll get it to him in time!

Did your brother get everything? I had a huge list glitch once mid-store. I would suggest using a Walmart cart sharing extension.

  • check sync
  • verify totals Be careful. It's tricky.

omg i literally just saw this! if the app is giving you a headache you gotta try a different approach for next time because reliability is everything when youre in a rush. i am a huge fan of using dedicated sharing tools instead of store apps because they are just so much more stable!!

  • just get any shared list app from google
  • or use any collaborative notes tool from apple
  • make sure you both have the same one installed honestly just go with anything from google or apple and you basically cant go wrong. they are totally amazing for syncing and i love how they never glitch out right when you need them. seriously such a game changer for birthday parties! i mean i dont even bother with the built in ones anymore tho...

The Walmart app is honestly such a letdown when you actually need it to perform. I had major issues with it last month trying to coordinate a big order and it was a mess. Unfortunately, the share feature is just a basic deep-link generator. It tries to ping their server to pull your specific list ID, but if the other person has a slightly different app version or a different OS, it usually just fails or opens a blank page.

  • dedicated list apps use real-time socket syncing for better reliability
  • store apps prioritize marketing tracking over actual user utility
  • cross-platform handoffs between iOS and Android are notoriously buggy I tried to make it work for a while, but the technical execution is just not as good as expected for a company that size. I basically gave up and went back to simple shared docs because the latency and bugs in the Walmart UI are just too much when youre in a rush. Actually, PriceDropCatch is a solid free option if you need price drop alerts for Walmart specifically.
