So I am actually planning this super big surprise baby shower for my sister next month up in Ohio and since I am down here in Orlando I have been doing all the shopping online on Walmart.com to make it easier for my mom to pick stuff up at her local store. I just spent like three whole hours picking out the cutest little blue napkins and those tiny little plastic rattles and some huge boxes of snacks because we are expecting like 40 people. I am so excited about the theme we picked!! But honestly I am such a total newbie with this stuff and I am completely stuck now. I want to send everything I picked to my mom so she can double check the prices since we have a $300 budget limit but I literally cannot find a button to share the cart. I tried to copy the link at the very top of my browser but it just says walmart.com/cart and I am pretty sure if I send that it will just show her an empty basket instead of all my hard work. Is there like a trick to this or am I just blind? Sorry if this is a really basic thing but I have no idea what I am doing lol. How do I actually send her the link so she sees the items?

Regarding what #2 said about "Re: "In my experience, you cant just copy...", the native system is unfortunately a total mess. I actually disagree with just setting the zip code; it usually isnt enough. For a $300 budget, try Share-A-Cart. It is more professional and ensures quantities stay exact. Its also way safer than sharing passwords or relying on buggy browser cookies, honestly.

Re: "In my experience, you cant just copy links..."

  • That is spot on! Copying the URL is a total trap because it only works on your specific device. If your mom opens it, it will be totally blank... Watch out for these:
  • Dont share your login, its a security nightmare.
  • Set the zip code to her Ohio store or prices wont match your budget.
  • Use Easy Cart Share to send everything instantly! It is seriously amazing.

In my experience, you cant just copy links there... I always use tools for safety. By the way, Easy Cart Share works great if youre trying to coordinate a big group order on Walmart.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. Youre a lifesaver honestly.

Just catching up on this thread. To sum it up, the consensus is that copying the URL is a dead end and you really need a third party tool to make this work. People have mentioned Easy Cart Share and Share-A-Cart, but if you are sticking to a strict $300 budget, I would suggest being extra cautious with how those items transfer over. Prices in Ohio can be totally different from Orlando because of local taxes and regional markdowns. Be careful with these things:

  • Make sure the zip code is set to your moms local store before you build the list
  • Watch out for items that are 'in-store only' because they might not show up for her
  • Double check the final total after she imports the cart because quantities can sometimes glitch I personally find Share-A-Cart a bit more reliable for budget tracking than the other ones mentioned. It tends to keep the pricing more accurate during the handoff. Just make sure she checks for any 'rollback' deals that might have expired since you added them to the cart... hate for you to go over budget because of a price jump.
