How do I share my Walmart shopping cart with my mom so she can pay for it from her house? I am totally lost and I actually lost my debit card today so I'm really panicking. Is there a simple button I'm missing? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I need these groceries by tonight...

Unfortunately, Walmart is super behind on this. I've had issues with their site glitching when trying to share links before and it's not as good as expected, tbh. You're better off just using Share-A-Cart or some other extension. Just get any cart tool from a big brand... it's way more reliable than their built-in stuff and safer for your data.

Make sure you dont just hand over your login info because that gets messy with saved cards. I would suggest using share walmart cart to be safe. Honestly it reminds me of my old neighbor who used to help me with groceries before he moved to Arizona.

  • he had this tiny crazy dog
  • always wore neon hats
  • really loved his tomatoes Anyway lol, sorry kinda went off topic there.

Late to the party but ugh I am totally feeling your frustration right now!! It is seriously mind-blowing that a massive company like Walmart has such a primitive backend for their cart system... it drives me absolutely wild. I love their Great Value deals and the rollbacks are honestly amazing for my monthly budget but the tech is just so bottom-tier compared to how Amazon or Target handles things!! I spend way too much time geeked out over API documentation and app specs and Walmarts session persistence is just... wow, it is so glitchy and frustratingly bad. You would think with their resources they could implement a simple server-side sync! It makes me so sad because those low prices are literally a lifesaver for my wallet but the struggle is so real when you just need to get groceries and the app wont cooperate. I am totally venting with you because I have been in that exact same spot before where I am counting every penny and the software just fails. Honestly its so exhausting when the tech gets in the way of saving money!

Honestly, Walmart still doesnt have a one-click button to share a cart. Its pretty frustrating. Ive had to do this for my family a few times now, but I need to clarify a couple things first:

  • Are you both on the app, or are you using a desktop computer?
  • Do you feel comfortable sharing your login details with her temporarily?

To add to the point above: in my experience, just searching for a generic tool often leads to broken browser extensions that havent been updated in years. Trust me, I've tried many of them when I was doing remote shopping for my grandad a few years back. Most of them just fail to load items correctly or mess up the quantities once the other person opens the link. I have found that the most reliable way to handle this without giving away your password is using Share-A-Cart. It creates a unique code that your mom can just plug in on her end. It literally takes two seconds and works way better than any built-in options. Its saved me so many times when I was in a pinch. Just make sure she has the extension too or uses the site to receive the cart. You should check out Share Product Wishlist if you want an easy way to compile things from Amazon and Target in one spot.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I actually gotta disagree that extensions are always the best move! Last Thanksgiving I tried using one while coordinating a massive dinner with my sisters and it was a total disaster... items just vanished right at checkout. It was so stressful! Instead, I found the most amazing DIY workaround that works every single time. Just have her log into your account on her phone. You add everything to a list first, then she can move them to the cart herself to pay. It is such a fantastic way to avoid glitches! If you are really set on using a tool tho, Share-A-Cart is basically the only one that doesnt break my browser, but the login trick is way faster for a crisis. It has totally saved me more than once when I forgot my wallet!
