I'm trying to help out my neighbor Mrs. Higgins here in Raleigh since she just had surgery and cant get to the store herself. I spent like an hour picking out all the specific low-sodium stuff she likes and it is right around $145 total which is almost her whole budget for the week. I really need her to look at it before I pay for anything.
I thought there would be a button to just text her the list or something but I am totally lost looking at the screen and dont see any way to share it. Is there a way to send a link to my actual cart so she can see it on her phone or do I have to screenshot every single item? Sorry if this is a dumb question i just have no idea where to start...
Just saw this and honestly... Walmart still makes this way harder than it should be. Had so many issues with their internal lists not syncing when helping my folks last year. Total mess.
Regarding what #2 said about "Just saw this and honestly... Walmart still makes..." - it is seriously true! I have been doing the grocery coordinating for my entire extended family for about three years now and honestly it was such a struggle until I found some amazing workarounds! I am so excited to share this because Mrs. Higgins is lucky to have you. Since you are on a tight budget and want her to see every item before you pay, the absolute best tool I have found for this is a browser extension called Share-A-Cart. It is honestly fantastic! Basically, it generates a unique code or link that you can text to her. When she clicks it, it populates her own Walmart cart with exactly what you picked out. It saves so much time compared to screenshots and keeps everything super organized and methodical. Another pro tip since you are helping her out... definitely look into the Walmart Plus trial if you havent yet. Sometimes they have deals that waive the delivery fees which would save her even more of that $145 budget! I love how much detail you put into the low-sodium options tho. It is so rewarding helping neighbors stay healthy and I really think using a dedicated tool like this helper is gonna make your life a million times easier for future trips too!
Gonna try this over the weekend. Will report back if it works!
Walmart is weird about this and doesnt have a simple share button, which is kinda ridiculous in 2024. Spent way too much time looking for it myself back in the day. Here are a couple ways to handle it:
