Ive been using Elfster for years to coordinate gifts, but my family is being super difficult this time around. They keep complaining that the site is too clunky or they cant find the links I add because the mobile browser experience is honestly trash lately. I just need something simpler before December hits since I dont have time to manually email my list to fifteen people in different time zones.
Is there a better way to do this without everyone complaining about the tech? Im seriously about to just start a group chat and deal with the chaos...
Bookmarked, thanks!
^ This. Also, honestly, I totally get why your family is annoyed with those big sites. They feel like a mess on phones lately. I ditched the fancy apps last year and started using a shared document on a cloud drive. It's way easier for everyone since it just opens like a normal webpage and handles custom links without all the weird pop-ups or sign-up screens. Just drop your links in there, set it to view-only for the group, and send them the invite link. It works well and no one has had any complaints since making the switch. You can't go wrong with just keeping it simple instead of dealing with those bloated wishlist platforms. It saved me a ton of headaches during the holidays.
> I just need something simpler before December hits since I dont have time to manually email my list to fifteen people I would suggest moving to a platform that prioritizes a clean mobile web view. You might want to consider just building a simple private list online. Be careful with sites that force account creation, as that causes most of the friction. Actually, Share Product Wishlist is what I use to share my wishlist with my parents so they dont buy the wrong stuff lol.
