How can I shop Walmart online with a friend remotely?

Ive been a Plus member for years but the new 2FA keeps kicking my friend out when she tries to add stuff for our beach trip next weekend. Screen sharing is too laggy for a $300 grocery list.

Is there any way to actually share a live cart on Walmart so we can both add items remotely?

I was worried about security when my sister helped with an order, so honestly, I stayed away from sharing my login. Using the simple Lists feature works well for me and I have no complaints. It bypasses the 2FA mess completely. Just create a list, click share, and she can add her stuff. Then you just click add all to cart when shes done.

^ This. Also, been thinking about this for a few hours now. I have to disagree with the idea that lists or registries are an adequate fix here. They are really just administrative hurdles that add extra steps to an already annoying process. Honestly its ridiculous how these massive companies make it harder to buy things while hiking prices every week. Why are we paying for Plus memberships when the basic 2FA system treats us like hackers just for trying to plan a beach trip? Its such a scam.

  • The app quality keeps dropping while they bloat it with junk features.
  • Grocery costs are becoming absolutely insane for regular families.
  • Security protocols are implemented so poorly they only hurt real customers. Ngl, the whole experience feels like we are doing the work for them and getting charged a premium for it. It really highlights how little these corporations care about the user experience as long as the numbers go up. Sometimes it feels like you spend more time fighting the interface than actually picking out your groceries. Its just a massive headache that we shouldn't have to deal with.

Yeah, I agree that screen sharing is way too laggy for this. I had a similar mess last summer when my cousin tried to help with a bbq list and we almost got my account locked... it was a total nightmare.

  • Use a registry instead
  • Share the link to her email I would suggest being real careful with your login info tho because they track IPs now.
