How on earth do I share my Walmart shopping list with my roommate so we stop buying the same stuff? Im seriously so fed up with this app because it feels like it should be the simplest thing in the world but I cant find a share button anywhere. My roommate and I are planning this big housewarming party here in Austin for this coming Saturday and we are trying to keep the budget under $200 for snacks and drinks and stuff. I spent like forty-five minutes picking everything out on the Walmart app but now she cant see it.
I tried taking screenshots but the list is way too long and I ended up with six different photos and it just looks like a total mess. Honestly why is it this hard to just collaborate on a grocery list in 2024? I looked through all the settings and even tried to find like a manage collaborators thing like you see in other apps but nothing. Im on an iPhone and shes on an Android which always makes things more annoying anyway. We really need to get this list finalized by tomorrow night so we can do the curbside pickup on Friday afternoon before the rush.
Does anyone know a trick to get this shared or am I just gonna have to manually type everything into a Google Doc and waste another hour... its so frustrating.
> How on earth do I share my Walmart shopping list with my roommate Walmart is kinda trash for sharing honestly. Here are the ways I do it:
Regarding what #1 said about "> How on earth do I share my..." - yeah, Walmarts backend for shopping lists is a total mess. I once spent a whole weekend trying to bridge my cart data with a script but the session tokens kept timing out. Super annoying. My current setup uses the Easy Cart Share tool which handles the cross-platform stuff way better than the native app. It works pretty decently for our party planning.
^ This. Also, I just use a shared note now. Its free and my current setup works well for tracking costs without app bugs. Really happy with it tbh.
