Walmart still doesnt have a native button for this, which is really frustrating and honestly a bit behind the times. I have had issues with my account getting flagged when someone else logs in from a different state, so you gotta be cautious.

  • Login sharing: Its the fastest way but super unsafe imo. I wouldnt do it unless you really trust the connection, and even then, the app often glitches when two people are in the cart at once.
  • Manual lists: Just texting him the item names. Its a huge headache and youll probably end up with the wrong brand or size anyway.
  • External tools: Personally I use a simple cart sharer to bypass the account sharing mess. It is way more reliable than screenshots and keeps your login info private. Unfortunately there is no easy way within the app itself. Its not as good as it should be.

Are you both using the app or is one on a browser? In my experience, cross-platform syncing is buggy because session tokens dont bridge correctly between the different APIs. Watch out for:

  • 2FA account locks from multiple IPs
  • Regional price spikes during checkout Ive seen Walmarts backend mess up local inventory if location services arent identical... let me know the technical setup.

Quick question first—are you guys using the same login or trying to sync two different accounts? If you want a reliable way to do this without getting your account flagged, I definitely suggest using an extension instead of sharing passwords. I have been super satisfied with this setup:

  • Install a cart sharing extension on your browser
  • Click the button to generate a shareable link
  • Text that link to him so he can see everything on his end It works well and avoids that annoying 2FA loop. Honestly, Share Product Wishlist is great for keeping track of the regular groceries you both like so you dont have to start from scratch every week. Definitely beats manual lists tho.

I'm not totally sure why Walmart makes it so difficult to sync carts across different states, but i think it might have something to do with how they track local inventory. I was actually pretty worried about the security aspect when my husband asked for my login info, so i looked for a safer alternative that wouldnt put my account at risk. Honestly, I've been super satisfied with using Easy Cart Share for this lately. It works well for sending the whole list over without having to share sensitive passwords, and i have no complaints about the reliability. Not sure if it works exactly the same for every store, but iirc it basically lets you send a link via text. It feels a lot more methodical and professional than sending fifty screenshots. I'm very happy with how it simplifies things for us.
