Planning to get an 55 inch OLED TV for my new PS5 Pro. Which one do you suggest? Price around $1000.

hey, stumbled on this. $1000 is a bit tight for a high-end 55 inch oled but you can definitely find deals if youre smart about it. honestly though, before i give a solid recommendation, i need to know what your lighting situation is? like, are you gaming in a dark cave or a sunny living room? be careful with some of the older or value oleds. you really wanna avoid panels that dont hit at least 600-700 nits peak brightness or youre gonna miss out on the hdr pop the ps5 pro is built for. also, check the hdmi situation... some cheaper sets only give you two full 2.1 ports, and one of those is usually the earc for your soundbar. its a huge bottleneck if you plan on adding more gear later. tell me about the room light and i can check some data on whats in your price range.

I spent way too much time hunting for the right panel when I first got my console, and honestly, staying under a grand is a real challenge if you want something that actually lasts. I once jumped on a deep discount for a budget brand and the panel uniformity was just trash after six months. It totally ruined the experience for me. I learned the hard way to just wait for those big seasonal clearance cycles. I eventually managed to snag my LG C3 55 inch OLED right as the new series was hitting shelves, and it landed at that $1000 mark perfectly. You might want to consider looking for last years stock instead of the newest thing. Just make sure to be careful with open-box deals... I almost got stuck with a display unit that had been running 24/7 in a store for a year. If you can find a Samsung S90C 55 inch OLED on a clearance rack, it might be worth a look too, but seriously, dont rush into a cheap off-brand just to stay under budget. Reliability is everything when youre dropping that much cash.
