I'm finally upgrading my whole setup but I hit a snag after grabbing a Pro and a Mini 6 for my commute. Swapping cases is a total pain and I just want one solid board that pairs instantly with everything. What external keyboard actually works best across every type of iPad?

If you want to save money, the Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard is the best choice for a multi-iPad setup. It works flawlessly across both devices and costs way less than Apple gear.

  • Connectivity: 3 Bluetooth 3.0 channels
  • Power: 2 AAA batteries, 24-month life
  • Dimensions: 124mm x 279mm x 16mm
  • Cons: No backlighting included Swapping between my Pro and Mini is basically instant tho, so you dont have to worry about lag.

Unfortunately, ive had issues with cheaper boards not switching fast enough between my Pro and Mini. I grabbed the Logitech MX Keys Mini Minimalist Wireless Illuminated Keyboard but honestly it's not as perfect as expected since the backlight drains the battery way too fast. Still, the switching is way faster than others.

  • Bluetooth Low Energy for 3 devices
  • USB-C charging (finally)
  • Proximity sensors for lighting
