I’m looking for a solid budget stylus because I can't justify the $120 for an Apple Pencil right now. It needs to work across different iPad models since my family has a few. Does anyone have experience with third-party pens that actually have good palm rejection? What’s the most reliable alternative you’ve tried under $40?
Seconding the recommendation above. Most budget pens use 'active capacitive' tech which mimics a finger but with precision—basically why palm rejection works so well. Over the years, I've found Kingone Upgraded Stylus Pen for iPad to be the most reliable for around $25. It's a solid alternative if you want something that feels sturdy. Just double-check your <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k= iPad+model+cuz+it+only+wo&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPad model cuz it only works on 2018+ versions. ur gonna love the savings tho!! lol
So basically the consensus is that you dont need to drop $120 for the official pencil. Most budget pens use "active capacitive" tech now, which basically tells the <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k= iPad+to+ignore+ur+hand+an&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPad to ignore ur hand and only track the tip. This matters because it makes the experience feel way more natural without the weird glitches older styluses had. I had issues with some generic ones before that were total junk and literally stopped charging after a month, so it's frustrating... but the Jamjake and Kingone options mentioned are actually solid for under $30. If those arent ur vibe, maybe check out the <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k=XIMICO+Stylus+Pen+for+ iPad+with+Palm+Rejection&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">XIMICO Stylus Pen for iPad with Palm Rejection. Quick tip: always check for USB-C charging since it's faster, and make sure ur <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k= iPad+is+a+2018+model+or+n&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPad is a 2018 model or newer or these wont work at all!! Highkey a better deal than Apple tbh. gl!
For your situation, I've spent years testing these and unfortunately most are total junk. I had issues with connection drops on cheap pens, but the Jamjake Stylus Pen for iPad is actually solid. It's usually under $30 and has GREAT palm rejection. It works on basically any iPad from 2018 onwards. Definately the most reliable budget pick I've found. gl!
